Guest guest
Just a thought...could there be something in the ZP that your son can tolerate in smaller doses, but not larger?
Guest guest
We just increased our twin boys PZ to 2 caps per meal and 1 cap HN per meal. We felt it could possibly give us better results. My one twin is who I am more concerned about. When we first put him on the enzymes we saw some really nice things but then they kind of faded, so I thought we'd add another PZ (Devin's recommendation) and now he is defintely 'out of it' again... wondering if this is die off and we need to wait it out... logical thought, I know... just wondering if anyone else has gone thru this too? Guest guest
Sue, If you read back over the last couple of days you'll see that Aidan had a strange reaction (I might even call it a regression) when we upped his dosage. It looked like a gfcf contamination. Epsom salt baths seem (data set of two, not necessarily a trend) to be helping. Great to see you on this list. Guest guest
That is one thought...the die-off. Here is another one. It could be there is a food the enzymes are not helping with. And you just happened to not have served it during the good period. Dana said that if her kids had any particular seeds or oils then there would be a reaction the enzymes were not overriding (unfortunately). Is there any possible food he is sensitive to? The big problematic ones, with enzymes, are the nuts, seeds, and oils from those. We eliminate most all artificial colorings, flavorings and preservatives because the enzymes are not helpful with these either (Feingold diet). . I know said her kids have a problem with chocolate if they eat more than a little bit even on enzymes. Patti
Guest guest
I'd love to say this is the case, BUT, my son eats the same things all the time. We have not introduced anything new... he does not get food dies or colorings or oils, nuts, seeds, etc. Thanks for the suggestion... I think I am going to have to wait this one out ;( Sue [ ] Re: Up'd PZ to 2 caps, now die off again? That is one thought...the die-off. Here is another one. I am wondering the same thing, for you and for me. We are not using ZP, but a different general enzyme called Vital Zymes Forte. When we started using it with greater frequency, my daughter started to get a rash under her mouth. Later, I found out that one of the enzymes is from pineapple, and she does have a IgG allergy (3 out of 4) to pineapple. I have backed off the VZF, but haven't eliminated it completely because I was hoping it would help with my daughter's many many food allergies. Yesterday I ordered the ZP and I'll try it to see if she reacts to it. I think that it also has bromelain in it? I didn't check before I ordered it because I don't know for sure if that is what she is reacting to. Carolyn
