Guest guest
Hello Everyone! I will be starting my twelve-week challenge soon, but before you start reading messages from me, I feel I should introduce myself and give a little bit of background information. I am 21 years old and a college student at The Ohio State University, majoring in Meteorology (Go Buckeyes!). I have been 'overweight' for my entire life and most of my family is overweight as well. Despite playing varsity athletics through high school, I continued to gain weight up through my junior year; at most, I weighed 210 pounds during mid-Junior year in high school. It was at this time, that my mother and I joined weight watchers, and I lost about forty pounds. During my senior year, I completed 'a portion' of the twelve-week challenge, before falling off-track and not getting back on. This past summer, I completed a full twelve weeks, but did not follow the nutrition plan as strictly as I should. I saw good gains in overall strength and endurance, but did not lose much body fat or make much of a drastic change. Now going into Spring Break, after hiring a personal trainer, I've seen a great increase in muscle tone and strength from earlier this school year, but again, my nutrition plan was not adequate. Body for Life gives me one thing that I desperately need to stick with it - structure. Being a college student, working part-time, being in a Fraternity and a host of other student organizations, being able to plan my meals and stick to a solid structure will make things a lot easier. (I am waiting until after Spring Break to start, only a couple weeks away. Spring Break in Arizona will be interesting... I couldn't imagine starting this up with that on the horizon.) I look forward to getting started on my program, putting everything together and getting/providing support. Good luck to everyone ... I can't wait to get this thing going! -
