Guest guest
Doreen, Where are you in MA? I highly recommend Dr. Ehrenthal at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands. RHCI.org I see her in Sandwich, but I think she also sees patients further onto the Cape. Maybe Harwich or Yarmouth. If you can travel, she is worth the trip. She is a physiatrist and one of her specialties is Fibro. Very no nonsense let's get you better. And she does. I knew how important exercise is and had tried so many things - starting painfully slow - like 10 minutes for a couple days, 15 minutes and so on. Made me so much worse. I told her about it and she wrote me a prescription for physical therapy. HUH. My next recommendation. I couldn't more highly recommend Crago- at Falmouth Physical Therapy. Also on the Cape, just over the Bourne Bridge. She changed my life, she really gets Fibro. She started me with 6 stretches every day. Made me worse. I went to every other day - beautiful. Then she started me on a bicycle, treadmill and another machine, like a stairmaster. 3 minutes here, 4 minutes there. It was very embarrasing - there were women 30 years older than me that could do 15 and more whole minutes. But, I could do it and I was feeling better. chided me once when I wasn't paying attention and went to 5 minutes - she really gets it. I really hope you are close enough to see them. Good Luck, Betsy > > Hi everyone, > > I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a doctor that specializes in CF in Massachusetts. Guest guest
Hi Betsy, Thanks so much for responding! I'm a good distance from the Cape (north of Boston, which I should have mentioned in my post), but I will travel as far as I have to in order to find a good doctor. For PT, however, it would be too much driving but I so appreciate the suggestions. Thanks again! Doreen in MA > > Doreen, > > Where are you in MA?
