Guest guest
, I'm sorry to hear you have plateaued and don't expect to get better--that must be very disheartening, at the least, and still devastating at worst. . My thoughts are with you. I'm new. My run-of-the-mill internist says I'm " pre-fibromyalgia " . Like your specialist, she also said if I don't take care of it now, it will get worse, and then be next to impossible to get rid of. I'm going on 1+ year of symptoms. I would love your advice, and everyone else's too!! What do you wish you had done in the beginning? I'm very scared and don't have a lot of good info. Taking vitamins currently, tried two anti-depressants and low dose of gabapentin--all with negative, not positive results. (I'm very sensitive to meds and have lots of side effects). My integrative doc has suggested a bunch of alternative therapies I can afford. I'm not working much at all, trying to reduce stress (which is kind of paradox: I'm broke and not really working, have little to no in-person support, but am trying to reduce stress!?! You get it! How do I stop fibro (and cfs) in its tracks? Thank you --Olnisa > But it's my understanding as told to me by one of the top specialists in the field, that once > we have it, especially if it's been a while, we're not going to get rid of it. > For instance by the time I was diagnosed, I'd had it a few years, and it just got worse.
