Hi Jan-

Yes, our own is doing quite well. We also have a lot of coverage

here in Des Moines - especially for . We have a track and field

girl as well...Lolo . She is quite the athlete as well. Track and field

has just started up the last day or so so we will see her compete real soon.

It's great having a tie to the Olympics.

You mentioned Phelps. Apparently his suit took a decade to perfect and

it has ties to someone here in Des Moines with some expertise. That's a good

thing, too. Also, I have heard that a lot of the training for the swimmers,

Phelps included, took place in Ann Arbor. Godincidence?? I have heard Ann

Arbor mentioned several times during the swimming competitions.

Congrats on the athletes that came from your area. All are winners in my eyes -

just to make it to the Olympics is winning. What a special time for all the

athletes.

All the best to you and Jim - with huge hugs-

Sandie

Hey Sandie,

De Moines has their own gymnist, , in the Olympics. She won the

Yea, ! Two of our U.S. Gymnastic girls won the gold and silver. There are

several from my area in swimming, baseball, and soccer. Everyday they are doing

the news from my area, because the swim team that some of the Olympic kids are

in are from this area.

That stud Phelps is like Seabiscuit, the race horse, that brought hope

to a broken down America during the depression. It's an exciting year at the

Olympics for the U.S.

I am thinking of going to the winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada in 2010. I

see where they are starting to sell tickets in October of this year. Some

lottery drawings for tickets have already begun. I don't know, it's just a

thought. You all know, I can't leave Jim's side. I hate to buy tickets and then

can't go. I don't know where Jim will be in two years. I guess I could buy

tickets and if I don't go, sell them on E-bay or Criag's List. I have to do some

deep thinking about it.

Go U.S.A!

Re: - OT - Having withdrawal from 2008 Gathering

Awwwww -

This is so sweet. Missing you and everyone from the gathering as well. I thought

we were going to wait a couple years not a couple weeks. Well...:-))

If you still know my cell number you may call anytime. I still have your cell

and would love to talk sometime.

Chocolate hugs-

Wish we

could get together and talk and laugh.
