Hi all,

this is sort of -understatement!- hard for me to write. My home became ..

just overrun and dreadfully disorganized from the time when I began getting

really ill. At some points I was able to clean, sure, and even get RID of

stuff but then ... My mom had died. Then dad went into a nursing home when

he broke his hip. I (later) did get some of the things which I had been left

when his home was sold and the contents also sold. I did not get

everything I was supposed to, and I did get far more than I expected in six

large

boxes filled with old papers and photos all mixed up. There was furniture as

well. In an apartment? A mess. And took me TIME to sort thru, to TRY to

organize and at same time write to dad, send him old photos (not all the old

photos he wanted were taken from the house by his lawyer; do not know HOW

THAT mistake was made!!). Then .. giant flood from apartment above me;

combination of water and URINE. bathroom and portion of livingroom! This was

overnight and damag e was immense as the did not turn off proper place until

8:30 Am. (It began 11PM). Almost directly after this? BEDBUGS! It took an

entire YEAR to get rid of the things.

Thank you sooooo much, Netty!!!

I am also VERY sorry for all you have lost!! And that you haven't any support

now from 'family.' Some I know (knew?) was close to at one time have turned into

... hmmmmm... not sure what word I can use here. Is wankers over the edge? (I

don't think that is a really bad word as compared to some other choices... Just

like to use the strong ones sometimes and comedic helps). Those wankers who do

not realize QUITE how dreadful and devastating it is when you CAN'T do what you

used to, when your BRAIN sort of goes on a kind of strike in parts.

YOU HAVE FRIENDS HERE!!! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT!!!!

I'd like to announce that today I managed to FINALLY 'get' that pile of papers

which was under the piano-bench-that-serves-as-table

on the floor into FILE FOLDERS which I'd bought at the local 99 Cents And Up

Store. (It was a 99 cents store; burned down, they rebuilt, and now it's 99

cents and up heh-heh).

I'm very proud of this enormous accomplishment. Now I can also grab the papers

which are in the bedroom --nowhere CLOSE to as many!-- and file them too. I also

took all the junk papers to the basement recycle area.

Now ... if I can move on and get OTHER important things done, I'll be ok. My

dog needs his shots and the vet. I must raise money so am selling some vintage

stuff; have this sort of set up but need to push myself. I kind of know I can

now... I am also not so ashamed if someone comes over!

Love, Jane, the one with the hound, NYC
