DeeDee,

Thanks so much for your letter. We have decded not to adopt the baby because

it was very hard for us to work everything out in such a short time, and I am

in the middle of my clinical rotation for nursing school. We just really

wanted to give the baby a loving home, and we knew that there was another

family on the list that really wanted him so we felt that it would be best to

let that happen. Our prayers for the baby have been answered.

DeeDee,

Good luck with the implant! I'm so excited for you, it sounds like the tasting

is coming along too. Let us know when you get a minute how things go with the

CI surgery!

From: JDDUngetheim@...

I just wanted to let everyone know that Bryce is going to get his cochlear

implant this Friday. We just came back from his pre-op appointment and we

are

ready to go. We are having to have this done at another hospital which makes

me a little uneasy because all the docs know him so well at our hospital.

But

I think things should be fine. He had his tonsils out in July and his airway

is SOOOOO much better.

We are also working hard on feeding issues. We are on a waiting list for the

electiric stim treatments in Cleveland but in the meantime, Bryce has become

a little less aversive to tastes. He doesn't eat anything yet. He has always

enjoyed sucking on cheetos and crackers but now he is somewhat willing to

put

a spoon in his mouth that has been dipped in milk or a chocolate milkshake.

He actually reached out his tongue to taste two things yesterday. That was a

first. We are doing the Beckman oral motor exercises too. I'd love to know

if

anyone has any ideas of specific things to try for tastes or any words of

wisdom about the beginning stages of eating. Thanks.

My contact had an air leak and I never got to use the bag. I decided that I would rather do other Tae Bo work outs, so I returned it, and never bothered to get the Contact series again. ********************-----stcarolinem@... wrote: -----To: tae-bo_on From: stcarolinem@...Date: 01/07/2005 05:48PMSubject: (no subject) I am soooo disappointed. Today was my second workout w/the Bag and the seam split on the base and water everywhere. Of course the contact workouts aren't any fun w/out the bag. I'm going back to the store where my husband bought them to see if they will refund his $. Anyone else have this problem????? Sharon-

Thinking of you today as you go through this anniversary date of your dad's

passing. May you have signs and Godincidences showing he is near you and

reminding you he is your Guardian Angel.

Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
