Guest guest
Janet, Welcome to this group. I have been participating in this group for 18 months and have learned so much. They are also wonderful encouragers during those down times. I have found that when I exercise more I have more energy. I don't really like to exercise but my husband makes me walk 3-5 times a week whether I want to or not. Of course he goes with me. He wants me as healthy as I can be for whenever the time comes for a transplant. I have also lifted some weights at the gym in the past and plan to start doing that again in Sept. When I need help sleeping I take melatonin. Someone in the group recommended it and it has worked for me. You can find it in the supplement area of your pharmacy near the vitamins. What dose of Urso do you take? I am taking 1500 mg/day now. Before I started taking Urso I was having a constant/continual infection but since starting Urso about 1 year ago I haven't had any infections. Where are you feeling the discomfort from the low grade stomach ache? For over 6 months I had a similar sensation right below my rib cage. The doctors believe it was caused by the infections and did clear up after taking the antibiotics. Hope this helps a little. Feel free to ask any questions you might have - someone should be able to give some help. Guest guest
My doctor gave me a prescription for antibiotics, but I am only to take them if I develop chills and a fever, which has not happened yet. I have never had chills and fever with what they call infections in me. Early on during one of the ERCP's they found infection (at first they thought it was cancer) so that is what I assume the pain/discomfort is when I have it. Another possibility for the pain is that it could be sludge/bile trying to get through your ducts. I believe we had a discussion on this in the recent past. You might check back about a month in the archives. Barby
