Guest guest
I envy you Sam. I would to love to live where you do. My whole life I have dreamed of living somewhere in the Pacific N.W.I'll bet that will be a beautiful drive.Gale, in Texas transplanted form Calif. Me too, Gale! I am in AL (which I do love, the northern woodsy part of it anyway, which is where I am), transplanted from a 17 year stint in CA which I didn't think I'd miss, but I DO!Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
Guest guest
Hey Sam: Yes, I do know..That is the FIRST thing she did..take me off Armour and put me on Synthroid and SR T3. She doesn't like Armour because of the prion contamination, big " spurts " of T3, and she feels that pts eventually develop either higher Ab counts or Ab's against the hormone itself (this is something that is in research mode). I don't think that this is the case for me. Armour does something for me that nothing else does (maybe due to the T1, T2 and calcitonin). One of the compounding pharmacies here doesn't like Armour either and compares it to Premarin saying it is not bioidentical. There are pharmacies that are compounding SR T4 AND T3 and claiming that they are " bioidentical " . What I'd love to see is a compounded Armour-like med that included it all. I told Vliet that until we got the why's and wherefore's around excess androgen secretion and TSI Ab increase figured out that I needed the Armour, it's the only thing that is keeping the depression at bay. Guest guest
PRION content, " big spirts " of T3, and not bioidentical, eh? Oh brother. I have heard so many bizarre " stories " about Armour that I could fill a book with more pages than War and Peace. Armour is simply desiccated porcine thyroids. I like to call it a thyroid gland in a pill - that's really all it is. I can't believe the horror on some doc's faces when pateints say " I want to take Armour Thyroid " . It's almost like they mess their pants and have seizures over it. You shold see what they do when I tell them I'm on 11+ grains (660mg) - it's like their heads spin around and then explode. You have TSI abs? That's an iodine deficiency thing. Sam (I am 56 today and I'm going to go party like a wild woman) ===== > Hey Sam: > Yes, I do know..That is the FIRST thing she did..take me off Armour > and put me on Synthroid and SR T3. Guest guest
Gael, AMEN to that!!! I was born in Calif. but moved to Tx at the age of 14. Never the less, I will always be a California girl! I hope that in my next life I can stay in that part of the country. LOLOL Gale > > > In a message dated 1/8/2008 9:16:13 A.M. Pacific Standard Time, > nsndallas@... writes: > > > > > I envy you Sam.
