The surgery only took an hour, which was very nice and all of the nurses and the doc were so kind. They even gave me flowers when I left! That was so sweet of them. In fact, the nurse told me that she wished her other patients were like me, because I was so nice to them. I guess it goes back to the old adage of " treat others how you want to be treated. " My pain level is actually pretty low right now. I am having more pain in my shoulder blades instead. I forgot about this side effect. I had that happen with my last surgery almost two months ago. I guess the reason is that they pump a lot of air into your tummy so they can see better and have more room to do the proceedure. The last time it took about 36 hours before my shoulder pain went away, so I figured it will probably be the same way this time. It is a small price to pay if my pain level stays decreased or completely goes away! I guess I better try to sleep. I did not sleep a wink last night and I was not even groggy after coming to after the surgery. Thanks again for the words of encouragement!
