Guest guest
Debs, I hope you find some relief soon-you really deserve a break. I am sending prayers and very, very, very gentle hugs your way. (((((((Debs))))))). As soon as I got back to the hospital following lunch, I was told that the preliminary tests are already showing the WBC are showing " hot " and therefore they will be injecting something to test my bone marrow as they feel that they infection may have invaded the bone marrow with a type of osteomyelitis. I told her that that was my concern, but I was not running a temperature which I am SURE would get really high. She told me that fever is not always present with osteomyeolitis. My kneecap (or where it used to live) is so painful, that I cannot even touch it. It takes a minimum of 4-5 people to get me from my bed to my wheelchair and then from the wheel chair to the van and then reverse the process to get to when I get to my destination. I am so exhausted after these excursions. Laying in bed is painful beyond words. I still have not heard a thing from SS. My attorney was to have given the case to the judges clerk just before Christmas and here we are the middle of January and not a word. The way that I feel most of the time, that by the time it is approved, I won''t be around to enjoy it or see my children use it for their college fund. Well, I will try to post tomorrow and let everyone know what if anything they have found in my leg. The drainage continues on 6 out of the 8 pins on my legl I will let everyone know what if anything they have found or choose to share with me. Until then.............gentle, tender, angel hugs Debs in FL
Guest guest
Debs, These infections just won't quit. It makes me wonder if you've ever been infection free. I hope the bone scan will tell the story of what is going on. This chapter of your life needs to be permanently closed! I hope you hear something from SS soon. Guest guest
Debs, It breaks my heart to read that things are still so awful for you. Your healthcare team, if I can call them that, is really letting this latest crisis drag on an unacceptably long time. I have the same feeling as a - I think the infection was never totally eradicated. Ortho Man is officially out of chances now. I'm still floored by his draining fat theory. I hope you've found another orthopedic surgeon to help you. Someone with excellent skills and experience needs to take immediate action to try to save your leg. My prayers are with you, [ ] Debs................. > Hi Guys, > > Well, today I went to the hospital for the blood tests and radioactive > injection of the dye for the nuclear medicine test tomorrow.
