Guest guest
Hello Kathy, I was searching to just share and you are the only member I have in my address book. I looked at this message and I got it in August. it didnt seem to be that long ago. How time seems to fly nowadays. As I get sad cause I cannot work with a crossbow exercising gym............as I realize im getting older and my body just cant do many things anymore............I read your letter and see that im just a baby when it comes to pain. Oh yes, there have been two times in my life i have cried out to the Lord in pain and asked for Him to take me. My neck seems to be getting worse or weaker. The doctor says to exercise, but then the RA begins to hurt. How can i exercise when i cant lift a thing? how can i exercise my neck if i cant hold up my head?...........how can i type when my wrists hurt? a reality check, huh? But i am not to dismayed. For I have returned to the Lord and He sustains me. Though this body is weakening, my spirit soars with His presence. Without Him i am nothing. I appreciate your note. I wonder how you are Kathy? how is your life? are you still working? I know one postmaster who had an operation on her neck. The operation was fine and she could now lift her head up. She thought she was doing great. Then the doctor sent her and her employer a letter. NO lifting over 20 lbs.....permanently. The postal service expects 70 lbs minimum. she had to seek disability. shes depressed. she wants to work. But even one more doctor said, 'you dont seem to understand, at any moment if you hurt your neck or jolt the wrong way, you will break your neck " > Its hard to face that. It seems as long as we have jobs, we feel worth something. Being disabled and unable to do things is really hard on ones mind. The only sanity we'd have is Jesus Christ. Oh , im not preaching to you, but rather just sharing thoughts in my mind. For some reason i am writing to you and I hope and pray you are better than august........... People dont understand, and thats why RA support is there. I appreciate your time and hope your son is doing well..............how is his health? I am seeking medical insurance for my son. Got any suggestions? hes 23....... I am married and 52 ..to be 53 in february 1st.............wife is 50....... May the Lord bles you Kathy and comfort you .. May you have an excellent sunday....... sal..........from wv kringlemom@... wrote: hey sal, sorry no one was online for you to talk last night. i was laying in bed trying to get some sleep, but being on 15 mgs prednisone a day leaves sleep to the imagination. i faked it anyway!!!i am up now getting ready to go to work on my day off after my mtx injection. ( i already told them i might just lay under the counter and throw up in the garbage can ) i've had troubles for about 8 years. i'm 43 a widow almost 20 yr old son. they are saying now i have inflamatory spondyloarthrorpy, ra, reactive arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, diabetes and glaucoma. i have been stuffing envelopes all week at work and i am so sore. being on steroids doesn't really help me now either since it only makes me work more. hope you managed to get some sleep and relief for your pain. kathy in il
Guest guest
hey sal, i am sorry to find you in such pain. i understand the neck issues!! you have to do these exercises to strengthen the muscles. it is hard but only takes a couple minutes a day. you have to pull your chin back (towards your shoulders) start at only 5 if that is what you can do. turn your head side to side, up and down, bend the ear down to the shoulders. just keep trying everyday. i am still working, but have changed jobs. my old bpss was arrested for cocaine, he is still in practice, but i got tired of not being paid. i am so much happier now. i work part time for a chiropractors office (2 dr's) we are a good fit and i get my adjustments for free now and also get dental cleanings free and other services 1/2 price. (they rent in our building!) so not bad for a part time gig. try the exercises. i do them while sitting in traffic, or sometimes in the warm shower if i am hurting. the mtx doesn't get me as sick anymore on the weekends, more fatigue than anything else so i am pretty happy for now. wish my son could find a job, but lots of people want that too. kathy in il
