Guest guest
Hello all, I had an appnt today and it actually went well. I was shocked. I carried my list with my questions, concerns and needs. I actually got him to sit down, listen and not run out the exam room. So I left feeling far better than I have in the past. I got my new prescriptions for the year. He even listened when I explained my financial situation and wrote them out of large than I take daily quanities so I can stretch one refill for 6-12 months. This will help me save money. He went over my lab results with me. Though I was not able to get him to give me a copy of my results to take home. I will call back in afew days and ask the nurse! I also got a referral to OT to get custom made wrist splints so I can sleep. My current wrist splints do not fit correctly and cut off my circulation when I am sleeping. My arms down tend to swell while i am asleep. I had my usual labwork. Then before I left the clinic I left a message for my internal med doc for a new prozac prescription. Its a wonder that I have even survived three months with no antidepressents and I haven't killed myself or someone else. The final good news in my LTD was approved!! whooo hoooo....I still have to wait until February for it to start. So it looks like something good is going to happen to me this year. So in February or March I should have enough money to restart my meds. well, I'm tired and I am going to bed. nite all Toni

Guest guest
congrats on your disability and actual visit with the dr. i have the internist tomorrow. we are going over all the uti's i have had the last year. pap, breast exam. urine and labs for my meds and blood sugars. that one is at 9am. then 3:30 i get the opthalmologist, eyes dialated and wait until he sees how badly my glasses are scratched. i can't even see out of them. my parents gave me $ for christmas to get new ones. but i paid bills instead. i am stupid!!! i'll see if my prescritipn has changed before i plan my next strategy as to weather to replace the lenses or get new glasses. i'll have to put $ down and pay before i pick them up like everyone else. right? my rheumi is next month but not sure when. i'll have to call them. kathy in il
Guest guest
Hi Toni, Happy to hear that your appt went so well. Unfortunately, though not enough of our visits go this way. Also, congrats on your LTD. Any money coming in is a blessing. I am currently waiting for another decision from SS. My attorney was supposed to send all the paperwork to the judge and then she would sign off and that would be that. However, I have run into the Christmas holidays and no one worked those 2 weeks, even the judicial system! They were going to approve it about a month ago when they came up with a discrepancy of $600.00 more than I should have made if I was TRULY disabled. Apparently, the included my LTD as part of my income. Such a mess. They are taking their sweet time with this and I am sitting on pins and needles awaiting an answer of approval or that I have to appear before a LIVE judge. I can hardly wait to see the look on the judges face when he sees this contraption that I have on my leg and still say that I can work!!!!! Big Dummies!!!!!! Well, enough of my Whine for today. My daughter's boyfriend has come over and my youngest daughters should be home soon. Maybe I will have enough energy to go out for dinner this evening (doubtful), but I can dream, can't I????? Have a wonderful, warm, pain free weekend. Gentle, tender, angel hugs, Debs in FL Manager, Whine Cellar
