Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Received some bad news yesterday. A very dear friend of mine was taken to the ER Sunday night. She has been really sick the past 3 years with MS, emphysema, diabetes, hepatitis C, etc...Well, she is in ICU. Her liver gave out, her kidneys gave out, and her organs are slowly shutting down. She is only 51 but also an alcoholic. It has been so terrible watching her go down hill these last couple of years. We used to walk everyday and go to the mall, etc... Then, she started drinking again.....Herb took me to the hospital last night. Her blood pressure is only 80 over 35 and her heart rate is around 88. Her skin is all yellow. They are giving her oxygen and an IV. They say there isn't much hope and can't say how long she'll live. Right now they are just trying to make her comfortable. I do believe she knew I was there last night. I held her hand and talked to her and she struggled to open her eyes. Her eyes are all milky. It was so sad to see her that way. The nurses said they'll be moving her to a room today so she can have visitors. She has no family. Sis, it just broke my heart seeing her lie there like that. If only she had stopped drinking. I am hoping Herb can take me over to the hospital tonight to see her. Needless to say, my pain level is pretty high. Also, I didn't sleep last night. Another friend of mine who also has RSD is worried about her daughter. She is a recovering heroine addict and OD last year and almost died. She just got out of a rehab place and into her own apt. She starting using again 2 weeks ago. Last night her mom was frantic trying to locate her. Please pray for my friend in the hospital and pray for Jill and that she is okay and can stop the heroine. And let's all remember just how important our lives are. Yes, we have RSD but we need to remember that we are all God's children and have a purpose. Also, we have people who love us and need us. We have to fight the RSD and live!! Hugs, Tracey
