We usually sleep in until 9 or 10 on the weekends and I'm feeling it today. I did say a thank you prayer for your hubby's safe return. Guest guest Posted January 23, 2002 Report Share Posted January 23, 2002 You know I've been so tempted to give his mother the words she deserves when she calls, but I could never bring myself to do it. I don't think anyone would blame me, but I'm the same way DH is, it's just easier to let it go. And you know what's funny, DH was still doing junk for the ex that he shouldn't have been and when I made him stand up for himself and not let her use him anymore, his mom loved it! She thought I was great....now she's doing the same things for the X that he used to do...provide extra money, etc...it's really sad but kinda funny in a way. I'll never forget the story he told about his senior year of h.s. he was on football team and for homecoming they have parents come out on the field, and his mom and step-dad literally stumbled because they were drunk. Can you imagine? This Christmas, our first together, DH told me how nice it was to have a normal quiet Christmas. He was used to everyone being drunk by 7pm x-mas eve, then a fight on x-mas day always, over a bad call at football or something else stupid. How sad.
