Guest guest
....family has worked to keep me occupied since I've been having bouts of depression, so if I missed some else passing on this same info, apologies for the duplication. Re " needing " pain meds. There's good info available about the difference between addiction and dependence. Those who need prescription (i.e. legally prescribed meds/drugs) are NOT addicts...be it meds for diabetes, high blood pressure, anti depressants, lupus, Parkinson's, or PAIN. ..or whatever. We're wise for utilizing meds that help us be more well and functioning human beings. May you all be having enough comfort to enjoy something that brings you joy. Guest guest
I have heard much on the subject of pain meds addiction vs. dependence while I was in pain management. For most of us we may not have an addiction to pain meds but we are dependent on them to offer us relief so we can do normal things. There is only so much exercise, meditation, biofeedback, acupuncture, message therapy, and more can do. Meds provide a boost to these methods.
