Guest guest
Hi-- I've always had a negative reaction to ANY artificial sweetner. I can remember at some point during the old bush-as-prez days reading somewhere --this was re. something which was being done by the FDA; an article I read on a site or paper-- that allegedly Rumsfeld and pushed for one of the commonly used artificial sweetners to continue to be 'legal' as there was something about it being carcinogenic. He'd become involved because of some group with lots of money pushing this agenda. About all I can recall was that it was a common articficial thing which was used. I see Stevia nearly everywhere in stores here; as I understand it, this is supposed to be a decent alternative and most definitely NOT sugar. The actual plant is, I think from South America although one can get seeds via the net. Not sure what you 'do' to the plant in growing it yourself. I have seen organic versions, however. When I was done, he looked shocked. He asked me 'why are all of your foods processed and artificially sweetened? This may be contributing to your dizziness and brain fog'. > > I never thought about it.
