Guest guest
yes, those are methotrexate pills. When a drug is available in generic form there maybe many manufacturers of the same drug. Hence the difference is shape or color. My pills looked like the ones you got. You can call the pharmacy or take those pills to your local pharmacy and they havea book they can look up all the pills and confirm if it is the right pill if it really bothers you. You may also find a pill book with pictures of common use meds. Its similar to PDR your doctor uses. I have seen it in most of the major chain type book stores. Guest guest
Jennie, I have had mtx pills in both those shapes and also white and small. You are smart to question-probably wouldn't hurt to call the pharmacy anyway for your own piece of mind. xponder70 <xponder70@...> wrote: I have always gotten my Mtx pills from the local pharmacy and they are round and orange. I just switched to mail order, since I just started Humira and that comes through mail order and since mail order is cheaper, and the Mtx pills are yellow and oval. Are these still Mtx pills? I will call the pharmacy or the doctor and ask, but I thought I'd check here first. Jennie
Guest guest
Jennie, just go to the same site you referenced before, http://www.drugs.com, and click on the tab on the far right named " Drug Image Search. " Use " methotrexate " as your search term (after you've agreed to their terms and gotten the new screen), and you will see MTX pills that match your description of both the old and new pills. For safety's sake, I would recommend bringing them in to either your physician or pharmacist, and let them look over the pills and all packaging materials. These days, with all of the legal implications inherent in such a situation, I'm not sure what they'll say. Let us know. I'll tell you where to go!
