Hi Debbie/DJ!

I'll bet you can't wait to see your son. I can't believe that 3 weeks has

gone by already.

My 15 (16 on the 14th!) was away all summer, staying with her step mother

while working, so it's nice to have her back. I missed her a great deal,

too.

I keep praying that your living situation will improve. It's got to be

tough, especially when you've not really done anything to deserve the

animosity. Keep your head up, it will get better soon!

Enjoy your son! Talk to you soon!

Hugs,

Jo

Hi all,

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! I rained here all day every day

and I spent most of the weekend in bed going through withdrawal. All my

doctors want me to stop taking the oxycontin so I did. I am now 2 weeks

beyond surgery and healing nicely. I am using crutches the majority of

the time and really don't have that much pain. I actually feel much

better but then I always do when I don't use my right leg. I am really

hoping this surgery has taken care of the additional pain brought on by

the last sprain. I have also stopped taking the neurontin as I think

that is what caused the red pinpoint rash that is usually associated with

cellulitis. The augmentin didn't seem to be working as it was getting

worse and spreading. Now it seems to be getting better but my body is in

shock from stopping these meds.

I am starting to feel better and my son comes home from Atlanta today.

He has been gone for 3 weeks and I really miss him!! He is the reason I

go on and keep trying to make our lives better. He is 14 now and will be

15 in November. He will be eligible to get his learner's permit and he

says he will be my chauffeur! LOL I guess I can survive that!

As far as grandma goes, she has always been this way and just has this

special animosity for me because I confront things head on, sometimes I

am too blunt and she can't deal with that. She masks everything so she

can excuse her behavior and justify her feelings. Everyone in my family

has noticed over the years that she has this special animosity towards me

and that will never change. If my Mom had her own house, she and my

brother live here otherwise grandma couldn't keep the house, she would

let me stay with her no questions asked. She has really been great in

helping me these past 2 weeks since the last surgery and I really

appreciate it. I am the oldest of 7 children and it is difficult for me

to ask for help but she comes and asks me if there is anything she can do

all the time. My brother and I get along great too and my son fits right

in with all of us. It is just grandma that is the difficult one.

Anyway, I have won my comp case, have 2 personal injury cases going now

and know it is only a matter of time until I actually have an income

again. Then I can move out of here and get back to a somewhat normal

life.

Well, it is time to get these old bones moving!! My son will be home in

2 hours and I have to get ready to go to the airport!! I can't wait!!

Everyone take care, Debbie/DJ
