Hi Dawn,

I read that you said the doctor said you had RSD before your work related

injury. I just won a case with the same circumstances and wanted to let

you know that if you did have RSD before the work related injury it does

not matter. If the work related injury makes the RSD worse, worker's

comp is responsible for all medicals and you are entitled to worker's

comp benefits. In my case I was run over by a car at work in November of

1989 and was diagnosed with RSD in February 1990. Then in April of 1999

I sprained the same ankle that had RSD from the car accident in 1989

which made the RSD much worse and also caused new symptoms to develop. I

won hands down in both cases and the second employer is now responsible

for all worker's comp benefits. Make sure you have a good comp attorney

and you won't have any problems. If you have any questions, I will be

happy to answer what I can. Take care, Debbie/DJ
