Pain Issue

No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth! I have been reading

every post and have to jump in on the pain issue. Is it me or has the world

starting to come to grips on the pain issue? Thank Goodness! Now ,it seem

it is OK to talk about it. I have read some very good articles has

posted to one and all about chronic pain. I thank you for bringing it to

the forefront again. It is not a " moral " issue...It is not an issue of

" drug addiction. " I have been seeing a Pain Management Specialist(Board

Certified) for over a year. This Doctor was the only one who took the issue

of pain seriously. I thank God for him each day. He and his team of

specialists have made life livable for me. I have been judged by others

because I have been seeing a Pain Specialist. Well, I can tell you do not

try to tell anyone with unremitting chronic pain that is is a matter of

morals,character or any such hog wash. If you live with the pain we live

with you would be searching for any option.available to you also. At my

lowest point- I have even prayed to God that I would die first ,before my

wonderful spouse ,so I would not be a burden to my family. I am grateful

that has provided such excellent information to the entire group. AND

I am grateful that the entire medical community is waking up to the issue.

Also those of the non-medical community.

I won't even try to catch you all up but just let me say there has

been both very good and very bad times. Have missed each and every one of

you.. have laughed,cried,prayed over each and every wonderful person in this

group. Now,with my life more in my hands, I have returned...Didn't General

McArthur say that when he returned to the Philippines during

WWII?...All kidding aside...Hello everyone! Love to All......Louise in

P.S.... Is this terrible cold driving everyone else crazy also? My

fingers feel like clubs as I type this.... I can't wait till Spring!
