That was my problem at the beginning. Good luck. I got an Accu-Check Advantage at Costco - buy the strips and the meter was free. Actually, what sold me was the pharmacy tech is diabetic and uses this machines. It's one of those things where you may sit there an entire hour before you finally do it. It gets easier, but I've never found that it feels any different than that first time. It still is doing something we've learned " not " to do: jab ourselves!
