Guest guest
Hi, I want to thank every one for the warm welcome. I'm a little slow with the response the weather change a has taken its toll. I'm starting to worry now about the cooler weather only about a 10 degree change and I'm miserable. In response to some of the questioned asked me yes I was a workers comp case pure torure for 5yrs. I feel for anyone that has to go through the W/C circus. Workers comp has not nor ever will recognise my RSD. I had to go through private Drs to get a diagnosis (4 confirmed I have RSD). Currently I only recieve accupuncture for relief. I have found that it helps keep alot of the major pain flare ups down. I do go weekly when I miss a week the pain will double. I know a lot of people rely on medications in my case(similar to Barbara)I didnot tolerate them well. Once I was taken off the meds and was able to think straight again I realised the pain wasn't any different. I was always in pain but my brain wasn't here on earth. I do have a couple of topical oinments I use one is a perscription with klonodine, lidocane, spirin and alcohol(OOps I guess I do take some Meds sort of)That works great on my hands and wrists and an over the counter pain rub that smells like Peptobismal. Surprisingly that helps some time. There are days I do wish I had some meds to send me to the clouds this week definily has been one. Is anyone going to attend the RSD conference in Orlando 11/30 - 12/2? Theres supposed to be close to 7 Drs speaking including (of course) Dr Hooshmand. Again thanks for the wonderful welcome. Hi Deb and Barbara its nice to see familar names.
