Guest guest
Thanks for your heartfelt note, . I'm glad you're out there and finding being part of the group, even if you mostly just read, to be a positive experience. It's understandable that you don't have much time to post if you are working hard in school. Way to go! Half way there already. That's great. Before you know it, we'll all be celebrating your graduation. I'm a popular. Around these here parts, poplars are regarded as " weed trees " and don't live very long. I'll decline the label, LOL. I'll tell you where to go! Mayo Clinic in Rochester http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester s Hopkins Medicine http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org [ ] silent - but not new > Hi everyone. I just received the astrology thing at the bottom of my long eamil and thought I'd pass it on to you. Whoever it is that sent it to my mom thought it was accurate. I'm not finding it to fit me at all and wanted to know what y'all thought (you know a Jersey girl has been living in the south too long when she starts to type with a southern accent ) > > I also wanted to take a moment to letyou all know how much you mean to me. > > And since I'm actually posting for once, here's a little bit about me: > In the mid 90's I was diagnosed with SLE. I was put on various drugs and improved gradualy over time. In the 10 years that I have been " sick " I have gained 100 lbs (which had crushed what little self-esteem I ever had) and has added fuel to the fire of depression that I have been suffering with all of my life. About a year and a half ago I moved from AZ to VA to goto school. I am now halfway through getting my Dr. in physical therapy. After being here for a few monthes, I went into a huge flair that threatened my staying in school. I found a DR. out here. He did some tests and doesn't know why i was ever diagnosed with SLE and is treating me as if I have RA. That is when I found you guys over a year ago. > I get and read (except around finals time when I don't have time to read) the posts every day. I laugh when you send out the jokes, and cry when I hear of the difficulties that you all suffer through on a daily basis. But most of all, I feel so much less alone just simply knowing that you are out there. So thank you to our moderators for you do AWESOME work, and to all of the others out there - those who post - whether you post regularly or rarely - or those of you who have been silent like me. (For those of you that did the Christmas card exchange - I was theo one that sent out the peom). I have learned so much from all of you and have been inspired by your overwhelming optimism. How do you stay so positive (my glass is half empty when it comes to myself - but half full when viewing others) > > Thanks again and I hope you all have a happy pain-free day! > > McK
