I don't know what doctors you are going to see on the Cranial Facial Team at

Children's Hospital in Cincy -- I saw the pediatric Neurosurgeon Dr.

Myseros -- he knew about the DOC band (had a couple of patients who used

it) -- and at least listened to me when I talked. (A little flippant but

tolerable...)

Just be sure to WRITE down your questions -- Drs. tend to be busy, and you

may get a little forgetful. Having the questions will help you get all the

answers you need --- and believe it or not, most doctors like it when

patients come in prepared.... *smile*

There's a little construction going on at the hospital, and it looks like

you can't park in the parking garage, but you can! Just pull into the

" outpatient " area, and follow the driveway down.

And yes -- the computer is truly a Wonderful way to gather information! -- I

found information by putting in " abnormal head shape " of all things...

Good Luck tomorrow!! I'll think of you on my way into work!

H.

I really appreciate you answering all my questions. Although I

haven't been very active in the posting, it was because I didn't know

very much and only had questions. I have learned so much from this

site and Cranial Tech! Now we are going into action. We have an appt.

at Childrens Hospital in Cincy to see Cranial facial team tomorrow

[Wed.] I know they prescribe the helmets. Then on the 19th we see

Dr. B. Bauer in Chicago. Decided to hear both sides of options. From

the many posts I've read it sounds as though both do a good job. It

also sounds as though the band may produce results a little faster.

Now since our baby [ I'm only the great grandmother but he's

still " ours " ] will be a year old on July 5th we may have to opt for

the more expensive, harder to reach weekly, band. We'll see.

Once we get our boy into a program, I intend to really be active

in your organization and to try to wake up the medical world. What a

shame! Think of all the parents without computers! They have the same

type of doctors that we have all taken our children to for answers. I

guess if they didn't study it in school, or a drug company doesn't

tell them about it they just ignore it. Thanks so much to all of you

whom I found by typing in " flat head; misshaped head; assymetrical

skull; baby; infant; and anything else I could think of. Without you

there would be many, many children trying to cover ther flatness with

hair!, Wow!! is this wordy or what?
