Guest guest
The weight-loss fruit Preliminary evidence suggests that eating a certain fruit at every meal may help you lose weight faster. A small study of 100 people at the Scripps Clinic in San Diego found that when subjects ate half a grapefruit with each meal, they lost an average of 3.6 pounds over 12 weeks, whereas those who didn't eat grapefruit lost an average of only 0.5 pounds. The study produced some other interesting findings as well. After the meal, the grapefruit groups had reduced levels of insulin and glucose, suggesting a more efficient sugar metabolism. The researchers believe the weight loss is likely linked to the lowered insulin levels, but can't say for sure yet. They are considering future research to investigate whether eating grapefruit will be of use in diabetes prevention and treatment. ~ " We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.
