Well, okay.... since I specifically said I wasn't suggesting that anyone

run that plate - remember? - I think I should give y'all a (major) clue as

to why it's so funny when the full registration shows up on your screen.

Imagine a field officer, pen in hand, writing down the R/O's name as it was

provided phonetically, carefully scribbling down the letters as the words

are transmitted over the radio:

(Apologies to those of y'all who use the " other " phonetic alphabet.)

Ida Union Ida Tom,

Ocean Union Tom,

Sam Tom Union Ida .
