Guest guest
Does anyone use Kineret? if so, any problems? i just got it but i am afraid to start it since the lymph nodes in my right underarm and breast are still huge and palpable and hurt really bad. I am going to have 2nd and 3rd opinion from a civilian doctor now that i got Medicare. the Va wants to cut a whole arc of nodes out but Dr Love, a nationally reknowned breast surgeon said no way ! Guest guest
I just started back on Kineret a little over a month ago. My joint count is down to about 10, ( swollen or tender ) & I no longer need any pain medication. In addition i have been weaning off of the prednisone ( was taking 20 mgs a day ) as well as the MTX. My recent labs have been awesome, completely & totally normal ~~ for the first time in almost 3 yrs! My sed rate [ESR] was 2. I was able to go bowling again, and have just returned from a trip to Vegas. I was able to keep up with my family and even help push my mother in her wheelchair. This stuff has been a miracle! So, no I haven't had any problems, it stings like heck when injecting but otherwise I haven't had any problems at all. I hope this explains my absence from here, I have been busy living again. > Does anyone use Kineret? if so, any problems? i just got it but i am afraid to start it since the lymph nodes in my right underarm and breast are still huge and palpable and hurt really bad. Guest guest
Did you actually meet with Dr. Love, ? What did she think is going on? Guest guest
All I can tell you from my experience after 9 months on Kineret is that I had no adverse reactions but it did nothing for my RA. For whatever reason you don't see Kineret prescribed as much as the other designer meds. I hope it works for you! Shandi [ ] Kineret Hello everyone, I am fairly new to RA. I was diagnoised in Feb 06 but my Rhuemy believes that I have had it since Oct 04. We have tried the first round of drugs with no luck. MTX is not providing enough relief. I will be starting Kineret next week, my insurance company just approved it. I was wondering if anyone has had great luck with Kineret. I know that it is daily shots but my Dr. feels that this will be the best choice for me. I have a problem with recurring unrinary infections and she feels that if I need to go on an antibiotics that Kineret would get out of my system faster than the weekly drugs. If you have used or are currently on Kineret, I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks, Beth
