Hello Albert,

In descensus uteri (prolapsed uterus), the purpose of a pessary is

indeed to " lift " the uterus out of the vagina into which it has

fallen. I am as puzzled as you, however, at the possible connection

between the two words in parentheses, since lifting the uterus should

prevent prolapse of the bladder. Is it possible to ask the client

what is meant? Perhaps it is supposed to be " prevention of bladder

prolapse " ( " prevention " being the missing word).
