It is too bad, but true, that a person has to be on top of things to make sure the doctors cover all bases. That's why I think the spouse or parent or significant other should be on top of things as much as the person who has PSC. There are times when I can't even think straight and Steve will suggest that I take this or that to feel better--something under normal conditions I would think of myself, but as all PSCers know--we don't always think clearly.
