Guest guest
My state's (Illinois) system sent out a message about this on Oct. 31. It reads: " Interpol Mexico advises: To inquire on Mexican vehicle registrations, you MUST state the reason for your request (Type of criminal investigation, theft, rape, drugs, specific traffic violation, accident, etc.) in order for Mexican authorities to process your request. The state of issuance is MANDATORY because Mexico DOES NOT have an automated system. Interpol Mexico WILL NOT process requests for driver's licenses or vehicle registrations when the request relates to a traffic violation ONLY. These requests are considered administrative rather than criminal in nature. Unless a crime resulted from the traffic violation (robbery, vehicular homicide, etc.) Interpol Mexico WILL NOT respond. " Hope that answers the question.
