Guest guest
, I have been lurking on the list and I have to tell you, you seem like someone who likes to suffer. I say this because yes, I have had cluster headaches, and yes, I have worked out through them. Running seems to stop the pain. I have had serious health conditions during the past four years, that being diagnosed with breast cancer during my second challenge, being diagnosed with stage IV cancer during my third challenge. The latest bout attacking my hip and spine. This year I was diagnosed with a blood clot near my heart and told I couldn't participate in a run I had been training for. For four weeks I was was told off and on I could run, then I couldn't. I had 1 brain CT, 2 Upper chest CTs, leg ultra sound, neck vein ultra sound, and an ER admission for a pulmonary embolism. So what you say? Well here is the thing. I kept my eyes on the goal and when I was given the blessing to train, I trained. (This amounted to being able to run a total of 4 times in September.) When I was told I could not, I didn't. In the end, I was able to run the race on the 30th...having a PR by more than 4 minutes. Why? Because I focused on the goal. I didn't get discouraged from what people said or what was going on with my body. I loved my body enough to nuture it when it needed it and do what I needed to do to get a clean bill of health. Here is the thing, you occur to me as someone who thinks everyone is out to get you, make you wrong. etc. You ask for advice on the list, then get po'd when people offer it. Then you blast everyone whose intent is to be helpful- people who want to encourage you, make a difference for you etc. I have been on this list, and no kidding, the people you have blasted have the best intentions. I have never read anything they said to anyone as malicious or designed to hurt another. Here is something I think will transform your life: www.thesecrettv.com. Take a look at it and really I request you start looking at the people on this board as people who love you and want You to succeed at your fitness goals. We can't remember every little thing that is going on with your body and your medical conditions. I also suggest that you learn to love yourself so you can be open to the love on this board. just my .02 Sometimes others see the greatness in us and we blast them. With warmest regards and much love and light, Another question to ask yourself is WWBPS?* When you read a response. Guest guest
, I too have major migraines. I suffered a brain injury in a car accident some years back. Before I started my BFL plan, they were occurring almost daily. Life-style change, divorce, etc. I went to my doc and he gave me a prescription, that made me weak and sick to my stomach. I can tell you the ONLY thing that stopped the headaches was my consistent working out. I still have my medication as I stopped taking it. rockinkindaguy wrote: Since several of you indicated I have no COMMITMENT I went and did my LBWO in PAIN. I hope a few of you get to experience a cluster migrane during your workout...it's soooo energizing!! For you who do not know what a cluster migrane is I will give you a simple overview: sisus headache on top of a tension headach on top of a migrane. Thanks for your PAINFUL motivation!! Guest guest
, If you have pain, you should stop and visit your doctor. This site is not for medical advice. (I can't believe I've actually saying that. :-) ) When you return to the BFL program after you are healed and have your doctor's approval to do so, we'll be here. In the mean time. Guest guest
Sounds like you have recommitted yourself. We all have obstacles to getting our workouts done. I'm sure a cluster migrane (although quite dehibilitating) is quite minor to what some people have to work through. Did the workout help the pain?
