Guest guest Posted August 31, 2001 Report Share Posted August 31, 2001 I have the answer to your question. For blood testing they recommend yearly for those who score 0 – 10. But the MELD list itself will start at the number 10. You can go up or down on the list depending on lab numbers. Time on MELD List will be used as a tie- breaker in any region. Of course people listed now will be Grand Fathered in. UNOS Board of Directors will be meeting in Nov. and they are expecting the MELD will be ready to go at that time. With respect to the PELD (pediatric) scores status 1 patients will remain the same. There are no 2A’s in the scoring, so much of the rest of PELD really remains the same as before.
