Guest guest
Attention Dispatchers, Telecommunicators, Trainers, and Supervisors. Does your agency need an inexpensive way to help train new employees with call taking, while helping veteran dispatchers refresh their skills? If so, there is a new inexpensive call taking assistant software available that can help new call takers as well as seasoned dispatchers with their call taking skills. Introducing the " Sentry 911 Call Taking Assistant " software. Information gathered by call takers is " gold " to us dispatchers! Information can mean the difference between life and death of the officers and personnel that are under out care. That's why call takers need the best tools available to make sure their job is completed successfully on each call taken. By utilizing this affordable software your dispatchers can save time on each call, reduce agency liability, and improve the standard of care to your community. The Sentry 911 Call Taking Assistant software was created from the ground up within the PSAP environment. Meaning it is created from dispatcher experience, and not completely from some training book or manual. It is a stand-alone Windows program that is customizable to your agency's nature codes and runs on the computer desktop independent from all other CAD applications. This is why it is called an " assistant. " The Sentry 911 Call taking Assistant is not a CAD, calls for service or records management type software. It is the call takers friend. Unlike some Windows software, you will find the user interface is very simple to use with everything displayed and run inside one Window. Once the call taker decides what type of call they are taking, they simply click on the appropriate nature code button and a list of primary questions is immediately presented to ask the caller. For example, within my agency we use approximately 105 different nature codes. Each code has a list of primary questions to ask the caller. After spending several years in the public safety/911 career field it has been my experience that a lot of agencies have and continue to have struggles with rookie call takers and employee retention. Our job is difficult enough, so anyone can see just how over whelming it can be to new recruits. I've often heard more training is the answer. Yes, we can send our employees to conferences, workshops, classes, etc, but what about while on the daily job. Call per call? And then there is the issue of training materials? As far as training materials go; it seems in most agencies that they are far too expensive and few between to be provided. So after watching this dilemma go on for years I finally decided to try and find an economical solution for all of us. Thus the Sentry 911 Call Taking Assistant software was created. It is call-taking 101 to the fullest. A tool that can help rookie call takers learn the concepts of our job while refreshing us veterans. As a fellow dispatcher/telecommunicator/trainer I wish my agency had provided me with a tool like this! There is a demo of the software that is ready to go. Please feel free to contact me and get a copy. I can send it to you in the mail or by email attachment. My email address is twa911@... The demo software is a model of what was designed for my agency. Out of the 105 nature code buttons only a portion are activated, but there is enough there for you to get a feel of how it works. If you are a dispatcher tell your supervisor, superintendent or commander. Show it to them. Tell them that it is out there. Available! And that it is needed in your center. One last thing, you may not believe it, but like I said the software is very affordable to any agency's budget. Please contact me at your convenience. We want to get your agency up and running with this software as quickly and easily as possible. When you do reply please leave your full name, agency name, a mailing address, location, state, phone number, and contact person if you are not the communications director. Remember folks we are dispatchers. Modern day Sentries that stand at attention upon the proverbial wall of our communities listening for the faintest cry of help. We need the tools that will help us get that help to the people that are in need! Regards, A. Twa911@...
