Hi Johanna,

22 is very, very low. Did you do a double check? Check your strips to see

that they have not expired.

If you are on medication and are getting lows, your meds may need to be

adjusted. In the meantime, be sure to check before exercising. And, if this

continues, make an appt with your doctor.

Do keep us posted on what you find out.

I just had quite a disturbing experience at the gym. I was riding a

stationary bike (just like i always do), and suddendly I felt very

low. I went to test and I was 22! I have never in my ten years with

this disease been that low and been conscious. The thing that scares

me is that I did not even feel the signs... sweaty, shaky, tingling

tounge, etc...

Does anyone know why this may have happened? And what I could

possibly do to prevent it, besides having a snack before I work out?

I guess I could test before I work out, but I seem to drop so fast

sometimes, that it hits me so unexpectedly. Any advice would be

awesome!

Also, does anyone know if steam rooms are bad for diabetics? I was

not sure if they lessen your senses and are unable to feel warning

signs for low/high blood.

Thanks...

Johanna
