Guest guest
Although there is no proof that Vitex or Sharks cartilage helps to shrink the fibroids, one thing I DO believe is that they are a situation based on estrogen dominance. I have completely eliminated all dairy products and red meat. Although I am not a vegetarian, I feel like one sometimes because my diet is very plant based and I know this can only help. Also, estrogen is stored in the fat cells and by losing a few extra pounds, that can only help as well. I have been eating this way for about one year and I believe very strongly that is the reason why the fibroids have not grown at a fast rate. If I become even more strict (by cutting out sugar and caffeine), perhaps their growth may even come to a halt. In an 18 month period of time, the fibroid has grown only 3 more week size...not much for a year and a half. This is MY 2 cents worth for the group. Hope this helps some. Guest guest
I whole heartedly agree with you. I did the same thing: a vegetarian diet, loose weight, good daily exercise and herbs such as vitex. My fibroids grew very slowly or not at all for 4 years. When I went off the diet and herbs and got a sedentary job, I got into trouble in less than 8 months. Tish
