Well Chuck, you were almost completely right..... crazy night Sunday night

also!! Attempted shooting (the suspect missed), 2 attempted suicides (1 who

called us from his cell phone and told us his name, home address, and where

we would find his body then hung up. An all out search ensued and we found

him - still alive - with his gun in his car. He said he just couldn't do it

and gave up peacefully.), and a stabbing (as well as all the normal alarms,

suspicious, disorderlies, etc - all before 0400. After 0400 we couldn't pay

for a call - until all the collisions started at around 0630 or so.

The one thing you were waaaaay off on..... it was in the teens, windy, and

cold as you-know-what!! Other than that.... yes, lotto results would be

wonderful!!

And by the way - apparently I lost my ability to proof what I typed (tired

from the busy night maybe??) but we dispatched 276 calls, not 976. Biiiiig

difference. But believe me, with 14 employees, 276 was more than plenty!!!

Well......I got news for ya Amy - Sunday night will be busy too!

Saturday night was insane, and was destined to stay that way until 7am

the following morning. Sunday, will be just as hectic, but will die

down around 3:00am. Your crews will be so worn out by the workload that

they will not even have the energy, nor desire to check out everything

that moves on the road. Oh, there might be one or two crews that may do

a few checks every now and then. (There's always at least one cowboy in

in the crowd, isn't there.) By 3:30am, you'll be lucky to have a handful of

active jobs on your screen. And, by 4am, Monday morning you will start to

get bored and wish that something would happen again, but at same time pray

that it doesn't!

Now, you may ask yourself how I know all this? Because for me, it is

already Monday morning and my knock-off time is closing in. You see, I

have already lived through Sunday night! So, heed my experience.

Oh yeah, Monday morning will also be warm and sunny, with scattered

clouds and a slight breeze from the east. Anyone also want the lotto

results?
