Guest guest
, I don't know what I would do without my Remicade. I didn't take my methotrexate for almost 6 months because my RA doctor said you didn't have to take it but the company that the FDA says you have to be on a a DMARD like you said. I am trying the MXT to see again if it helps with the 1 1/2 weeks that I seem to hurt. I truly believe this time that I am still hurting because of the damp weather. I do much better when the weather is dry and 70. I am better then I was last Sunday the day before but still aching in the morning when I get up. I don't use a cane yet but have thought at times I needed one. I have a problem with my left hip aching this time but thought it probably was because I had been going up and down 12 stairs at my Mom's house taking care of her dogs. Now that I am home I hope that heals and goes away. I don't know who in my family had RA but my Dad thinks it came from his side. My Mother's side mainly had OA - I have some of that and also have had a rotator cuff injury. They did surgery on it and it is much better. Orthoscopic surgery - where they scraped all the arthritis out. I hadn't been able to lift that arm above waist height for months and can lift it above my head again. Just wish they would have done it sooner. I have also had 2 fusions in my neck. My spinal doctor can't believe the second one helped me - but it did. The pain in my arms that hurt so much is basically gone. When I overdo it and lift stuff it comes back but not permanently. He can't believe from the latest xrays that after 3 months it is almost fused either. He says I am an enigma...lol I wish you the best of luck. Has your doctor ever given you cortizone shots? That is what mine does when I get to aching really bad in between Remicade treatments. God bless, Althea
