Guest guest
Dear ; Have been reading every post as usual...Going to my rheumy as usual...then this. I had Hepatitis B in the 1970's way before the Hep B Vaccine was in existence. Got stuck by a needle when I was in the military during a code on a Gastroenterology floor... Everyone had some type of Hepatitis there. got Hep B ,and have been a carrier since then. My rheumy has been very careful of my liver function tests. Have them done once monthly because of the methotrexate. Went into my family Doc.. had nausea, and abdominal pain, thought I had gall bladder symptoms.. Had the abdominal ultrasound this am. Now I have abdominal ascites.. Cause yet unknown. At this point Family Doc and Rheumy putting heads together. No tests ordered as of yet. .I knew I had a greater chance of getting Liver Cancer, but my liver function tests have always been normal. Any case of methotrexate induced ascites?...And could the ascites be cancer with the liver as a primary site. Also... How could all this happen with normal liver function tests..I am very confused....Hellos to all...Louise --------------------------------------------------------------------------
