Guest guest
Kirk,I just wanted to address the narcotics issue if you do decide to try another form of pain management besides the pump.Should you try the Nucynta or any other, I would suggest keeping such medications locked up. Not only because of potential friends of friends but because you have children that may have friends over in the coming years that may be tempted to snoop. I'm not saying your children would, but as you know my friend, I've had experience in this area and even the lock box I used wasn't the proper kind but my situation was different. It's just a thought because as you say, so many people are not themselves when it comes to narcotics if they know you take them.Good luck buddy. I know this is probably throwing you for a huge curve that your pain is coming now at this time of year as well. Guest guest
Thanks ...but I dealt with this not long after becoming ill when my Brother (who threw away his life) stole a number of pain meds from me. The only two people with access to these are and myself, and I am way too busy to take them when I don't need them as I still NEED to coach mini football and NEED to keep busy. When I am not busy, I get very depressed, which isn't good for me or my family. I've dealt with it as best as I could for close to 10 years know. Though I am no longer physically able to do all of the work I once did, I still have the knowledge and stay up to date in my field as I do earn some nice spare change working on the side...which without this I couldn't keep up with the bills. I receive roughly 50% of what I used to make weekly, and that doesn't cut the mustard. IF I could ever encounter my military medical records well than I might not have to do side work, but I probably will still want to. As always, thanks! Kirk.
