I'm so concerned that it is a bad reaction to Humira. Please call your doc

and have the service page him/her so you can verify if it is okay or if you

need emergency treatment. Many of these biologics can cause anaphylaxis.

Please let us know how you do. One phone call to the doc won't cost you

anything, and better safe than sorry! Cary

Is it rash like? I didn't realize rash was a side effect until this

week, but I give it to myself in the thigh and I've been having a

rash a day or so after on my leg, and not necessarily the leg I gave

the shot in. Then about a week ago (on Humira almost 2 months) I

started getting a rash on my face! I hope it goes down and you get

some information on what caused this reaction. I'll be thinking of

you.

Jennie, It's not a rash it's just a big red circle around the

injection area. It doesn't itch or anything. Hopefully, it will be

better in the morning, hugs Tawny

I found this on the Humira site:

" What are the more common side effects with HUMIRA?

Many patients experience a reaction where the injection was given.

These reactions are usually mild and include redness, rash,

swelling, itching or bruising. Usually, the rash will go away within

a few days. If the skin around the area where you injected HUMIRA

still hurts or is swollen, try using a towel soaked with cold water

on the injection site. If you have pain, redness or swelling around

the injection site that doesn't go away within a few days or gets

worse, call your doctor right away. Other side effects are upper

respiratory infections (sinus infections), headache and nausea. "

It's hard to tell if their description covers redness and swelling

the size of an apple though...

Good morning Jennie,....I looked up the info last night, and I tried

a cold towel, it didn't work at all. It's about the size of a

grapefruit now. I called the doctor, and if it's not any better I

can go in Monday. I was trying to watch that movie last

night " Kingdom Hospital " but I got real nauseaed, and went to bed.

I was on Wellbutrin(150mg) for two weeks, and then went to (300mg),

yesterday, and I'm thinking maybe that's why I got sick at my stomach.

Thanks so much for caring, I will keep you informed, Tawny

I’ve been warned about the injection site reaction, but I haven’t had it

personally. I have had a kind of low level sinus problem, though.

Has anyone had cognitive – emotional effects from Humira? I felt odd a day

after my first injection, and haven’t felt “myself” since. I can’t find a

thing to pin it to the Humira, but it gets worse after my injection for 3 or

4 days. The antidepressant isn’t even making much difference yet.

Carol,...I haven't really had any emotional effects with the humira.

I really haven't noticed much of anything while taking it, until the

problem yesterday at the injection site. That is really kind of

strange, if it keeps happening I would talk to the doctor about it.

Take care of yourself, Tawny

I haven't felt any emotional effects from Humira (been taking it

about 7 weeks). I have just had a rash on my legs (a little itchy

but goes away fast) and my little face (ugh!). I do notice that I

feel best the second day after the injection, and the pain and

fatigue is worse the last three days before the next injection. If

your emotional change was immediately after taking it though, I would

assume it's related.
