What gifts are you giving doctors? US asks Drug Companies

Hi a, very interesting reading. Giving gifts to doctors is absolutely

forbidden, not even a pencil with the company's name. However, there are still

nice perks. I have done a few teaching sessions sponsored by (shall remain

nameless). The doctors, their wives and children are asked to attend an

educational seminar which consists of a weekend at a beautiful resort with

everything paid for, including special entertainment for the wives while hubbies

are attending a meeting, golf,tennis etc. etc. They will always find a way to

court the doctors but, of course, only the biggie companies can afford it. I

must say, it is much better than it used to be, when the pharmaceutical

companies started giving gifts while the doctors were still med students.
