Guest guest
Good to hear Mickey made it through okay. Two of my little ones are going to be put out next week for a teeth cleaning and one needs a tooth pulled. I've been told the tiny dogs have more teeth problems. We've given them the vet dental chews, dental rinse, etc. and they still have problem. They also take extra calcium. ((Debs)) hope all goes well with you. ((Tawny)) how is the injection site tonight? That is starting to scare me. I'm wondering if you have an infection. Have you tried anything like Benedryl or maybe that's not safe to take, I don't know. If it's an allergic reaction it might help. So busy here lately. I have a new little boy in my daycare. He's 2 1/2 and a wild child. In 18 years I've never had a child this wild. He is exhausting me and requires one on one and making me a nervous wreck. I told the parents today I cannot deal with this anymore. I think he is stressing me out so bad that is why I'm in more pain. Normally I lay down on the futon when the children are napping and rest for an hour or two. With this child screaming and climbing out of his playpen and running I am a crazy woman! My health cannot take this. I have a part-time assistant that is turning into a full time assistant because of one child. My family had made a complete turnaround. It's almost scary that I FINALLY got through to them! I pray it continues. I'm not getting much chance to get online lately but I'm reading everything and hope everyone is doing okay. Thank you everyone for being such a great support system. Becky [ ] Mickey Mickey made it through surgery and his muscles and tendons looked very good. He is home and though gimping around is a much happier dog. He is eating again which I am so grateful for. I think if we had lost Mickey on top of Paws that my husband would have become so depressed. He always tells me that the animals that he becomes close to are the ones that die. We have lost our share in the past year but we still have Mickey and he is looking so good. His back side is bare and with the cold I feel for him. They had to shave his hair to do the surgery so his back leg and hip area and the top of his tail are bare. He is trying to put the leg down and use it but so far no go. He will be on medication for the rest of his life with us now to help him deal with his arthritis. I feel for him but am glad that they have these medications there for our animals. I learned something too. Rimadyl a mediation for arthritis that is prescribed for dogs is a killer. I told my Mom they were going to prescribe it for Mickey and she screamed NO NO NO...I looked it up and found that it has killed quite a few dogs... I guess with watching our own prescriptions that we have to watch out for our animals too. I never thought to look them up before. I copied the information off the internet and gave it to my vet and she was very appreciative. Our vets are the last to get this information. Thank you all for your Prayers. God bless, Althea
