Debs,

You are in my personal prayers. I, too, have had osteomyelitis - in the next

to the littlest toe. They inserted a pic line and had vancomycin for 6

weeks. This involved a computerized input system set up on a small watch, and a

fanny pack to carry the meds and computer and extra tubing. Once a week I had

to have blood level tests before and after the input of medication by the

computer. I also had to meet with the P.A. once per week to have the computer

checked, receive more medication(frozen bags), and inspection of the pic line,

after that I would meed with the Dr. This sounds involved, but after I got used

to the routine it really wasn't too terrible bad, especially since I knew it

would only be for 6 weeks.

Don't know how they will set up your treatment routine, but this is how it

was for me. I truly wish you Gods Speed in your recovery.

Gentle Hugs & Prayers,

Carol M. in CA

Hi Debs,

Thank you for writing and telling us how you are. I can only begin

to imagine how scared you must be. I hope and pray everyday that you

will get the relief you deserve and that all of this will soon be

behind you for good.

Love and hugs,

Alan

Hello, my dear sweet Friends,

I have finally taken a few minutes to let you all know that I am doing OK.

They have removed the entire points and now I just have huge holes going

thru

those bares. I am still

off my leg for another 4-6 weeks and will review again after.

No one here understands how scared and petrified I am. 5 times for the

septic

stuff and now osteomyeltis!

A BIG thank you from my heart to all of you, I felt each and every one of

them while they put me to sleep,

I will talk again as soon as the words and typing get caught up

together!!!!!!!

Gentle, tender, angel hugs,

Debs
