thank you for the web pages, I have put a few i liked in

favorites to share with the Itp support group. I was on several

drugs at once for the treatment of ra, which included, naproxen,

sulfasalazine, plaquinel,methotrexate. I was also dx with thyroid

disease so am taking (and was then) synthroid. I ended up in the

hospital and had to have 2 transfusions (platelet) as my count was

below 1. I have stopped all meds after the first transfusion.

(except synthroid)They put me on a course of prednisone for 4

months, then I had 3 winrho treatments after that. My counts are

presently normal again,(2 months and holding!) although we watch

them carefully.I was also dx with h pylori in january. took the meds

for that. It is odd because when my platelets were low, my ra went

away, now that I am in normal ranges, my ra is returning. So I

dunno! I see the dr on the 23 of march, so hopefully we will see. I

appreciate all your responses, thank you!

Another question, are any of you in the s.o.n.o.r.a study out of

Canada? I am and have been since dx. I am in the study for 5 years,

which I am almost through my 3rd year.
