Guest guest
not sure who is asking this question re Armour and estrogen. I am not sure what Armour does to our estrogen levels (2 grains of Armour did not lower mine), but I did experience that taking cortisol reduced my E drastically, actually to a point that was too low. I am still struggling with the whole cortisol issue, cortaid cream (maybe its the cream?)seems to give me headaches and a stiff neck, although it brings up my temps very nicely. I have gone off cortisol for now and am raising my thryoid meds to see if that can give me better temps and keep my E higher. I just learned about this doctor Borkin and he has some interesting videos I am trying to digest about adrenals and other hormones: the ones you want to listen to is with the doctor in the yellow shirt. pretty daunting stuff: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?p=r & user=biomans & page=9 madeleen k9gang@... wrote: Uh, that RT3 thing? When T3 is low, Rt3 is high... I don't know about thatRT3 thing, tho. I think it's just a "thing" that happens when T3 is low...Ok, your cortisol rhythm could be amiss. Normally cortisol is highest inthe mornings and lowest around midnight. Cortisol doesn't "store up" inthe body, it's on a 24 hour cycle - each day is a new day. When theadrenals are weakened they can do weird things, like produce the wrongamounts of cortisol at the wrong times of day. When adrenals are weak, instead of producing enough cortisol, they try to make up that differenceby making more adrenalin and that can burn those puppies out if it goes onlong enough. That is why we "support" the adrenals by adding enoughcortisol. It alows the adrenals to rest a little and heal up so that theycan eventually start working properly again. In order, this is how we should take care of "things":Treat weak adrenals, then treat poor thyroid function, and if sex hormonesdon't normalize after a while "THEN" supplement. Doing it out of order cankind of make things way more difficult to address properly. That's my 2 cents.Sam=====> wondering here..... sam, kathy,....... can it also be that when> starting and increasing armour, t3 or t4 included, that the night> sweats can be from using up too much cortisol during the day. or> using up what are minimal stores? then the lack shows up at night> with rising adrenaline. adrenaline will wake us as a form of an> alarm. think this is what has happened to me. still experimenting> with extra e and hc gel at night to see. i am on a good dose of e> with numbers each time well over 350. last was 560. i read in> schwartzbein that adrenaline and estrogen are in inverse ratio. so e> takes adrenaline down and visa versa, adrenaline lowers e. my> understanding is that when nighttime cortisol stores are too low> adrenaline rises, blocks e and then night sweats occur. sweating from> high adrenaline surges are a common enough symptom for most people-> sweaty palms before meetings or anything anxiety producing, etc.>> my gyn told me that it is not also low e that causes night sweats but> falling e as well. falling e as adrenaline pushes it lower is just> another scenario within this theme.>> ideas?>> -ag> off all armour 1 month from high rt3> 40 mcg trt3, 45 mcg cytomel> 22.5 hc> .1 vivelle e patch nightly, leave on two days> 5 mg sub pregnenolone> 1 mg sub dhea> 1 mg t cream> 1.5 mg sub melatonin Never miss a thing.
