Guest guest
I have had the same problem. I just recently spent a significant amount of time explaining the difference between arthritis and RA to a physical therapist that is my instructor as a PT student. Up until last week, she thought they were the same. I was telling her that some days I'm better than others and fatigue is the one thing that kicks my butt as a PT student.(and she's in the process of getting her doctorate in PT) - scarry huh? Fortunately she in an acute setting where she doesn't tend to see pts with RA for extended periods of time. (unless its someone like Debs who keeps finding herself incarcerated LOL). I never thought I'd be educating other PT's about this lovely problem! Tawny CAry: I thought I was the only one who encountered that......when I mention that I was diagnosed with RA and try to explain about the fatigue etc.....they always say " oh yeah, I have arthritis in my knee and blah blah blah........ " everyone seems to think they are all the same. I guess I should not complain as I had no idea what was involved until I was diagnosed and then I had to educate myself. How I feel varies greatly from day to day also........
