I asked my doctor 'how do I restore a sense of control in my life?'. After he

stopped staring at me clueless - he told me to keep a medical diary. Keeping

track of my visits to the doctor — when and why. Maintaining a list of

treatments and medications and any side effects. Including copies of my test

results, as well as a record of symptoms, severity and possible triggers.

His nurse was in the room and after the doctor walked out she said his idea of a

diary was good but mostly important - keep track of your emotions and thoughts.

I haven't written anything since school but I'm willing to give it a try.
