A beautiful day

It was so beautiful out today my little thermometer on my computer

says that it is 75 degrees in Enid Ok. I was outside today with my

clippers. I clipped off all the old dead rose wood from my rose

bushes then went into the back yard and clipped off all those pesky

new wood shoots on my trees.

My peach trees needed to be pruned - hubby was supposed to do it last

fall but since I was out there I did it. Left all the clippings on

the ground today so will be out there picking them up tomorrow. I

pruned the weeping willow too plus the apple - they are all doing

good.

My garden had a new arrival today. A orange lily has bloomed - it is

so pretty. I love looking at the garden each day and seeing the new

arrivals.

My garden is a semi-circle in my front yard. It is quite big and I

have planted probably a thousand bulbs in it over the past 5 years.

Of course, this is the first year it will be this big and be at all

orderly. Last year my husband enlarged it, but with the accident I

wasn't able to do much. I planted some bulbs and moved my mums out

to the edges where they did beautifully - then through out the rest

it was canas and poppies and they looked beautiful if totally

unorganized...

This fall I planted a lot of bulbs and am waiting to see what comes

up and where...I am hoping they all will. I have my bulb book from

Becks and someone else(mind went blank) to order bulbs for next fall

but I have time to see what exactly I need.

I repaired my one wind thingy that lasted over the winter. I will go

to hobby lobby and buy some more in the next couple months and my

scarecrow is leaning next to the rose bush awaiting his move out

amongst the flowers.

I am aching now and will go take a muscle relaxer as I sit in the

livingroom with hubby and watch jeopardy and wheel of fortune and

hope that my number comes up on the wheel club...lol

Hope all have a great evening and talk with you tomorrow.

God bless,

Althea
