Guest guest
It's the " plaid sheep " checking in-- I had the best intentions of keeping up with the posts last week, then had to be the oddball of the family (my biological family that is) and have a flu bug hit me. I hope I was the oddball of this family too, because I wouldn't wish this bug on anyone! It was the intestinal kind, you know, worshiping the porcelain idol in both positions, high fever, the whole 9 yards, and it just wouldn't quit. Not a weight loss solution I'd recommend. By Friday I felt like my insides were a toxic waste dump. My sweet future SIL came over in the morning (he's a week short of starting a new job) and rather than argue with me about the merits of seeing a doctor, he just picked me up and carried me out to his car, with Ron trailing along with my purse, and we were off to the immediate care center (Tom's daughter works there.) Windi, Tom's daughter, was ready for us (Tom had called on his cell phone) with a wheel chair so at least I didn't have to come in feet first) at the side door, and the rest of the world didn't have to see me in my Duck jammies bundled up in my SpongeBob blanket. By then I didn't much care anyway. But, 4 hours and one IV later, they let me come home. I'm starting to feel more like my old self, but I think they'll have to run the Boston Marathon without me this year. Shoot, I was SO looking forward to it! Ah, but there seems to be a ray of sunlight here! Maybe even two rays! Apparently the resting and high fevers did something to the horrible bursitis I'd been dealing with in my hips, because I haven't even been needing my cane the last 2 days. I'm sure that won't last long, but I'm going to enjoy the relief while I've got it. And was so worried about me, she forgot to be mad at her ex, Duane, and they actually had some civil words and decided to make peace and be adult with their dealings with each other. I know there have been a number of major " events " posted here, and I am sorry not to respond to them individually. Those who are having difficult times always have my prayers, and I hope you are able to see the sunlight soon. Heidi, my best congratulations on your new CAREEER! and a, as always, thanks for being the best ever! Peace and smiles, Judi
